Ardbeg Vintage Y2K 23 Years Old is a rare limited-edition Islay single malt Scotch whisky created from some of the very first Ardbeg spirit distilled in the new millennium. As the inaugural release in the Ardbeg Vintage Y2K series, this bottle carries strong collector appeal and a unique historical story tied to the distillery’s turn-of-the-millennium production.

This 23-year-old release was distilled in the historic Ardbeg still that served the distillery for 51 years before being retired in 2001. Matured in a combination of bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, the whisky brings together classic Ardbeg smoke with citrus brightness, herbal sweetness, sherry depth and long-aged oak complexity.

Bottled at 46% ABV, Ardbeg Vintage Y2K 23 Years Old is commonly listed in 700ml format. It offers an unusual and expressive profile, opening with herbal, sweet and fragrant aromas, subtle perfumed smoke, lemon balsam, linseed oil and candied walnuts. On the palate, it becomes fizzy and sherbety, moving from intense sweetness into aniseed, toffee, digestive biscuits, peppermint, menthol, tar and coffee grits. The finish is long and distinctive, with sooty, tarry notes, antiseptic lozenges, bitter oranges and oak tannins.
