Ardbeg’s Wee Beastie is a young single malt distilled from a blend of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks and bottled at the age of five years. Peaty notes are prominent in this one, with oak taking a back seat since… Well, it didn’t stay in those casks for very long, did it? But don’t take this to imply that Wee Beastie is a simple expression. It nevertheless has a pleasant flavour profile that should please many Ardbeg fans.
