Domaine Chandon Pinot Noir 2012 Red Wine

Domaine Chandon Pinot Noir is semi-transparent dark crimson red with a light crimson red hue. The nose exhibits solid varietal character and excellent intensity, with lifted aromas of ripe dark cherries, strawberry, anise, toasty cedar, some meaty game-like characters, and spice emerging from the glass. The palate is light in weight and lacks the power and depth that the nose suggests, but it is very flavorful, with ripe dark cherries, toasty clove-like characters, and spice. Soft fine-grained tannins with a medium to long aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, toast, and spicy cloves.
