Sundays Block Cabernet Shiraz 2014 Red Wine

RM72.00

The herbaceous, leafy Cabernet characters are balanced by the Shiraz’s generous red berry fruit, which is carried by the natural acidity and lingering fine tannin. The nose of this full dark red South Australian beauty is full of lifted plum, cassis, and blackcurrant jube aromas. The palate is ripe and juicy, with a savoury blend of ripe tannins and cedary oak. The acidity adds freshness and balance to the long fruity finish.

Shiraz is by far the most popular grape in Australia. It is very popular all over the world due to its lush, dark fruit, earth, and spice flavours.

When combined with Cabernet Sauvignon to add muscle and complexity to the wine, it can produce some of the world’s best wines.

The Penfold’s wine “Grange” is largely responsible for the popularity of blending Shiraz with a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon in Australia. It is one of the most revered (and expensive) wines in the world, and this blend has been used since the 1950s.

The Australian Shiraz is known for being extremely rich and full of dark fruit flavours, which are complemented by chocolate, spice, leather, and earth flavours. These luscious wines are boosted in strength and complexity.
